A striking and architecturally refined Art Deco chandelier from Czechoslovakia, dating to the early 1930s. The fixture features a nickel-plated metal frame with a clean, stepped stem and three radial arms inset with warm cherry wood panels—an elegant contrast of industrial precision and natural material characteristic of Central European Functionalist design.
Each arm supports a pressed glass disc shade of subtly green-tinted opaline glass, detailed with delicate horizontal banding. When illuminated, the shades emit a soft, atmospheric glow, highlighting the sculptural geometry of the form. The restrained palette and balanced proportions reflect the sophisticated modernism associated with Prague-region lighting workshops of the interwar period.
Unmarked, as is typical for many high-quality Czech fixtures of this era, yet stylistically consistent with production attributed to makers such as Napako or Drukov.
A refined statement piece equally suited to Art Deco, Bauhaus, or contemporary interiors.
